The first of our fit-trips is to Yosemite National Park. This trip will be AMAZING! It is a combination of outdoor, stretching, meditation, hiking and full adventure every day. If you’ve never been to Yosemite, or it’s been years this will be a trip to remember for a lifetime!

Lodging: Yosemite Lodge at the Falls

1st Annual Yosemite Fit-Trip:
If you are looking for an easy, fun filled nature trip, you’ve found it. If you are more adventurous and looking to conquer your fears and push yourself further than you thought possible, you’ve come to the right place. This trip is your design. We have activities for all different fitness levels and you choose your favorite!

The morning and evening stretch, meditation, visualization and Pilates classes will prepare your mind, body and spirit for anything! Join us in one of the most God blessed majestic places on earth and you’ll remember this trip for a lifetime!

Main Details:
Charter Bus leaving at 4:30pm on Thursday and returning Sunday late afternoon.
Lodging: Yosemite Lodge at the falls
Most meals included: 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, Saturday dinner, snacks and water
Activities to choose from: Hikes, Half Dome Hike, bike rides, tram tour ride, mule rides, ropes course, morning and evening outdoor Pilates, meditation, and stretching. Other activities include: fishing, and outdoor art classes.

Yosemite Fit-Trip Agenda

Thursday:
Travel time 4-5 hours:

  • Leave Palo Alto at 4:30pm. Location TBD. Please eat a small meal before you come.
  • Snacks and water will be provided on the bus. We won’t be stopping for dinner. Please bring what you need to be comfortable.
  • Games and prizes are included in our bus trip.
  • Arrive approximately at 8:30pm at the Yosemite Lodge.
  • Evening Stretch class 8:45pm –10pm
    We’ll start our evening off with a half hour stretch and meditation class. This class will have bands for stretching, music, and meditation to get our bodies, minds, and spirits ready to enjoy this wonderful trip.
  • To bed no later than 10:30pm or 11pm

Friday:

  • Outdoor morning Pilates starts at 6:30am- 7:30am
    Watch the sunrise in this morning stretch, Pilates, visualization and meditation workout.
  • Breakfast 8:30am-9:30am
  • Guided Hiking Tour 10:00am
    This hike will take us through the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, learn the secrets of the Sequoias and their High Country environment. There will be many photo opportunities as you experience the wonder of these magnificent and ancient trees. Water provided. Fitness level 1-2-3 is recommended.
  • Lunch 12:15pm-1:15pm
    We’ll pick up our box lunches at the lodge and hike 15-20 minutes to a beautiful clearing overlooking majestic mountains code name: Three Brothers.
  • Mule Ride 2pm-4pm to Mirror Lake in Tenaya Canyon with view of Half Dome.
    This is a 2-hour ride through the Yosemite Valley. Snacks and Water provided.

On Your Own Options in place of the above activities:

  • Art classes: For a little guidance, the Art Activity Center offers informal, outdoor art classes daily. Visiting artists from around the country offer instruction in a variety of mediums. Classes are held outside.
  • Bike riding: Explore Yosemite at your own pace in a car-free riding environment. Over 12 miles of paved bike paths take you to some of the most picturesque spots in the park, without the hassle of parking your car. The floor of Yosemite Valley is predominantly flat, with an occasional mild incline, making for easy cruising. Helmets can be provided.
  • Fishing: For anglers of every stripe, Yosemite offers great sport fishing -- 58 permanent streams with a combined length of 770 miles, a multitude of mountain lakes -- and excellent rainbow and brown trout keepers
  • Dinner 6pm: We wanted to let you enjoy Yosemite on your own for one evening. Choose either an outdoor setting, or an indoor setting. You’ll be provided with a map to various restaurants and outdoor venues.
  • Stretch meditation class and shares of the day 6pm-8pm
    This class will have bands for stretching, music, and meditation to get our bodies, and minds loosened up and ready for our big Half Dome trip. We’ll have a special guided visualization to prepare our minds and spirit for Half Dome.
  • In Bed no later than 10pm-10:30pm.

Saturday

Half Dome Participants:

  • Hikers will pick-up your breakfast and lunch at the kitchen at 6:15am
  • Meet in front of the lodge for our Half Dome trip
  • Professionally guided Half Dome hike begins at 6:30am and we should return by 6:30pm. Please do not be late! Be sure to pick up your meals before hand. This is a 12 hour hike, so be prepared for a long day. This trip will challenge you, and release your hidden amazing potential to the world! This will be an all day hike. Fitness level 2-3 recommended

Non-Half Dome Participants:

  • You will receive a breakfast and lunch coupon for the buffet at Yosemite Lodge

On Your Own Options in place of the above activity:

  • Guided Tram Tour through the Sequoias Trees. Tour is about 1 hour drive through the grove. Guests can leave the tram at any stop and pick up anywhere along the way back. Or, could take the tour tram to the top of the grove and walk down.
  • Art classes: For a little guidance, the Art Activity Center offers informal, outdoor art classes daily. Visiting artists from around the country offer instruction in a variety of mediums. Classes are held outside.
  • Bike riding: Explore Yosemite at your own pace in a car-free riding environment. Over 12 miles of paved bike paths take you to some of the most picturesque spots in the park, without the hassle of parking your car. The floor of Yosemite Valley is predominantly flat, with an occasional mild incline, making for easy cruising. Bikes available for all ages of riders, as well as trailers, and of course helmets.
  • Fishing: For anglers of every stripe, Yosemite offers great sport fishing -- 58 permanent streams with a combined length of 770 miles, a multitude of mountain lakes -- and excellent rainbow and brown trout keepers.

End of day:

  • Dinner provided indoor at 7:00pm –8pm in the Mountain Room. We’ll eat our last dinner in the Yosemite Lodge together in a beautiful vaulted ceiling room with spectacular views.
  • Evening Stretch Meditation and shares 8:00pm-9:30pm. We will discuss the highlights of Half Dome, and other outings in this stretch and meditation class. Special thankful meditation and visualization for the nature and our bodies that allowed us to conquer our fears! You can do anything!

Sunday

  • Sunrise Pilates stretch class 7am-8am. This class will have bands for stretching, music, and meditation to get our bodies, minds, and spirits ready to go back home.
  • Breakfast 9am
  • Check out 11am
  • Ropes Course: We will leave Yosemite Lodge and drive approximately 60-minutes to our Calvin Crest Ropes Course. Would you like to increase your self-esteem, self-confidence, build teamwork and increase your perception of what is possible in life? Then, this adventure is for you! You will ride zip lines through the trees, dangle through the air in a safe environment, and conquering your fears! Fitness level 1-2-3
  • Outdoor Lunch provided Time TBD
  • Arrive home in the early evening. Snacks provided.
